This was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed the number of tourists visiting Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to any traveler regardless of vaccination status in May Israel has seen over 600,400 US tourists.
